Modern Slavery Statement of Holland Park Carpet Cleaners
Holland Park Carpet Cleaners is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. It applies to all employees, contractors and suppliers who work with or on behalf of Holland Park Carpet Cleaners.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
We have a strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour and child labour. We do not accept any form of exploitation in our business or among our suppliers, subcontractors and business partners. This commitment is endorsed by our senior management and forms a core part of our ethical standards and decision-making.
All individuals working for Holland Park Carpet Cleaners, regardless of role or seniority, are expected to act with integrity and to support this policy. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in or fails to take reasonable steps to prevent modern slavery in its operations.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Holland Park Carpet Cleaners provides carpet and upholstery cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. Our supply chains primarily involve the sourcing of cleaning products, equipment, uniforms and related services such as maintenance and waste management.
We recognise that certain parts of our supply chain may be at higher risk, particularly where goods are manufactured or sourced from higher-risk regions or where low-skilled, temporary or migrant labour is involved. We are committed to identifying and addressing these risks proactively.
Supplier Standards and Audit Process
We expect all suppliers to uphold standards that are consistent with our own. As a condition of doing business with us, suppliers are required to confirm that they comply with applicable labour, human rights and modern slavery laws and that they maintain appropriate policies and controls.
We undertake supplier due diligence and risk-based audits to assess compliance. This may include requesting documentation about labour practices, reviewing evidence of worker protections and, where appropriate, conducting site visits. If a supplier is found to be in breach of our standards, we will seek corrective action within a defined timeframe. Failure to implement satisfactory remedial measures may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.
Employee Awareness, Training and Responsibilities
We provide information and, where appropriate, training to employees whose roles involve procurement, supplier management or recruitment so that they can recognise signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond. Managers are responsible for promoting awareness of this Statement and ensuring that teams understand their obligations.
All employees are required to report concerns about potential modern slavery issues. We make it clear that any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not be tolerated.
Reporting Channels and Escalation
Concerns about possible modern slavery or human trafficking, whether within our operations or in our supply chains, should be raised as soon as possible through our internal reporting channels. Employees can report issues to their line manager or an appropriate senior manager. Contractors and suppliers are encouraged to raise concerns directly with their primary contact at Holland Park Carpet Cleaners or with a member of our management team.
All reports will be taken seriously, treated sensitively and investigated promptly. Where appropriate, we will work with relevant authorities and partner organisations to address any substantiated issues and protect affected individuals.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We are committed to continually improving our approach to tackling modern slavery. This includes regularly reviewing our risk assessments, supplier due diligence procedures, contract terms and employee guidance to ensure that they remain effective and proportionate.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least once every twelve months by senior management. As part of that review, we consider changes in our business activities, feedback from stakeholders, findings from audits and evolving legal or regulatory requirements. Updated versions of our Statement will reflect any enhancements to our policies, controls and practices.
Holland Park Carpet Cleaners will continue to work towards ensuring that our services are delivered in a way that respects the dignity, rights and wellbeing of all people involved in our business and supply chains.
